Other Types of Birds

Just a little information about some other types of birds, most of them are much larger in size than what I raise, but thought I would add a little info on them.. For the larger type birds I strongly suggest you check my favorite links page and click on Genemmy's Bird Paradise link, where you'll find their address and phone number, Genie & Bill will be happy to help you.

For some of the smaller birds, different types  of parakeets, budgies, that I don't raise, I suggest you contact Parakeet Playhouse, you will also find a link for Christine on my favorite links page, who will also help you in any way she can.

Good Luck! Happy Birding! Debbie

PARROTS: Parrots are a very popular group of birds. Parrots are intelligent animals who depend on some degree of socialization and will not be good pets unless they are taught and patterned to be good pets.

MACAWS : Macaws are flamboyant, colorful, intelligent and captivating birds. However, like ill-trained children, macaws can be a major embarrassment if they are not well trained.

CONURES : In the wild conures are friendly, peaceful birds and seldom fight with each other. Conures are known for their sweet dispositions and playfulness. They definitely have a mind of their own.

COCKATOOS : Cockatoos make wonderful pets because of their sweet nature. Cockatoos love to be cuddled and bond very easily with their human owners.

LOVEBIRDS : Lovebirds are meant to be, well you know what, loved and loved hard. In fact, it is very difficult to resist falling in love with them.

PARROTLETS : Parrotlets, as is evident from the name itself, are bigger personalities in even smaller packages. Parrotlets win you over simply by their size and amenable disposition.

COCKATIELS : Cockatiels are ideal for the first time pet owner. They are characteristically happy and cheerful birds, never moody or demanding.
